Now that the parties are over just sitting around the Sn@tch store fishing for the latest outfit in the pond.  If you haven’t ever fished for something like this before you’ll need to pick up the 7Seas fishing rod(convenient vendor right at the store) and you’re off.  Just going to sit back and relax here for a while….

It’s Not ALL About The Clothes….

Sometimes it’s just about the toys!  Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my gadgets, games, toys, vehicles, and all the just plain goofy stuff that you can collect in SL.  If only I had unlimited prim I could really put those things to use.  Sadly, like just about everyone else I’m very limited on my prims so I take something out and put it away again like a good little girl to use another day.  And face it..SL is supposed to, above all else, FUN!   Everyone complains about the drama everywhere.  For goodness sake isn’t RL filled with enough real drama as it is?   We come to sl to escape, relax, get away from it all!  One of the simplest pleasures(at least for me because I’m a natural clutz) is falling from anything at all and not getting hurt.  Heck, sometimes I’ll just go jump off a bridge for the fun of it!  Get out and explore the grid, TP to random places and you’ll never know what you might find.  Okay, that’s my rant for the day so back to what I really meant to put in today.   Toys!

A few months ago I ran into this thing called The Truthball.  If you’ve never seen one it’s simply a game that you and your friends, even random groups of people, can click on and it asks questions.   Doesn’t sound all that exciting you say?  Oh ye of little faith!  I’ve had more fun and laughs and to be honest, learned more about some of my dear friends than I ever thought I would.  Question sets range from mild to totally wild and everything in between.  I honestly LOVE this thing!   Not only is there a wide variety of question sets to choose from there are quite a few different designs for the truthballs themselves and all come with loads of question sets to get ya started.  If you’re curious check them out at the mainstore.  The owner, Leesa Donner, is a totally sweetheart and will help you any questions or problems you run into.  Go try it for yourself at her store here  GameFrequency 5: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Couture%20Boulevard%20%20%2C%2026%29/169/52/26/

Another place that I’ve fallen in love with is a store called Never You Mind. Taking up a full sim overflowing with silliness you can find cute animated cartoon creations like the ones in the pictures, things that you can fly or float away in…Take some time to explore and enjoy. I dare you not to leave with smile on your face and a little something of your own to enjoy. New At AMD, Purrfect 10 gifts, and Valentines KittyCats are out!

Let me start out tonight by saying thank you to those few of you that are reading the blog.  I know there aren’t many of you but it does mean a lot to me.  So hugs and kisses whoever you are!  If you see me in world please don’t be afraid to come up and say hello.  The very best thing about SL is getting to know new people.   With that said let’s get to the stuff I have to show you tonight.

AMD has a new release and a little gift out for Valentines Day.  The gift is worth checking out if you’re a skin collector since it’s kind of cute and unique.  This is another store that I have a ton of outfits from.  I really love the way the skirts move since I like to dance a lot and they flow just like RL material would.  It came with a prim jacket also but I liked it much better without it.

Much has been written in the blogs about Purrfect 10 shoes and with good reason. There may not be lots of styles to choose from yet but what this store has in its inventory is high quality and the owner is more than generous with her gifts. The VIP group costs to join but considering the wonderful gifts we’ve been getting since the store opened its paid for itself many times over. There is also a free group that still receives some free shoes but if you join the VIP group you won’t be sorry. These three are the latest beauties.  I didn’t quite get the skin perfectly matched so the perfectionist in me is screaming but it’s very easy to adjust the skin tones on these shoes.  I just need to take some more time with it. lol

KittyCats released the special editions today so I ran over as soon as I logged in and got four of them. They are only being sold for eight days so if you want to get yours better jet over to the store and adopt a few for yourself or they would make a great Valentines gift for someone. I took a few pics of my new housemates but couldn’t catch one of them since he was running all over the place and boy can these cats move fast!

I’m Back! The cats made me do it!

So……It’s been a very long time since I’ve gotten around to posting due to RL happenings and such.  Been pondering leaving SL for a while but in the end I just can’t leave so going to start posting again and doing something with my SL time other than just shop and wander around.  Gotten pretty rusty with this writing stuff so please bear with me for a while until my posts don’t read like a bad 5th grade book report.   Here goes nothing folks!

The main thing that’s brought me back is cats…yes, cats…..

Got a package yesterday when I logged in about some new breed able cats.  Now I know there are all sorts of animals on the grid you can breed these days.  Bunnies, horses, turtles, chickens, fairies, etc.  but just had to take a look .

As you would expect you have to feed and water these little guys and, of course, you can breed them.  As with other breedable animals you get the starter packs then away you go!  I saw at least 5 different breeds, all very cute.  The one thing that makes these sl pets different(feel free to correct me if  I’m wrong because I am all the time) is a feature to turn them into pets that don’t need the food to survive.  Thank goodness someone finally added this feature.  I have more dead bunnies in my inventory than I care to think about that I’d just love to have hopping around my home but feeding  them all just got to be too much.   No matter how much I loved the little suckers.  In my mind this is the biggest reason to switch to the cats.  Besides, you can keep a cat in any home, on any land!

Look out Sine Wave, there’s a new kid on the block

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Okay people, I’ll admit it.  I’m a total freak when it comes to dancing and good dance animations.  Lost track ages ago on the number of dances I have in my Huddles and we won’t talk about how many couples dances I’ve got in my intans.  But when I logged on this morning and checked the search page, like I usually do to see if there is a new store to explore or whatnot,  I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw an ad for a new store with motion capture dances.

Ministry of Motion didn’t disappoint like so many have in the past.  First thing I noticed when I landed wasn’t the dances, it was the instruments (look for the cool animations to go with them!) and statues.  My first impression was “Oh what fun!”  Apparently the owner of the sim, Nomasha Syaka, started out as sculpture maker.  It shows.  There is a high attention to detail on every thing around the sim that’s hard to find anywhere else.

The dances turned out to have the same attention to detail.  From head to toe the whole body is in smooth motion.  For only opening this morning the choices for dances is impressive.  The only dances missing were the couples dances.  There’s something for everyone so be prepared to spend some time trying all the dances because there are so many and it was hard to find any that I didn’t like.  I know I bought at least 12!

I could go on and on but that would get boring so…

Take my advice and take a trip to Ministry of Dance and don’t be afraid to buy one or two dances.  Sl needs outstanding creators like Nomasha to keep making our SL lives better with high quality products like these.  You’ll look better, impress your friends, and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. hehe

Oh, should add the one she did when my sisters and brother became teenagers.  Really was meant for my brother who liked to do things like shoot at us with his  BB gun…

Yeah!!!!! Finally get to tell you guys about Look Book.  What’s Look Book you ask?  Simply put, it’s a virtual catalog you can get from a store and buy from the book like a catalog instead of going to the store.  All you have to do is load $L credits, similar to crediting your xstreetsl.com, and you should be able to buy anything from any of the stores. 

Attach the book, by wearing it from your inventory and, as you can see from the screenshots, you can buy the item for yourself or as a gift.  It’s also very easy to review what you’ve bought by clicking the order history button in case there are any delivery problems. 

 I have no idea why someone hasn’t come up with something like this sooner.  It’s a GREAT idea.  No more lagging around stores or looking for gift vendors.

Let’s talk gadgets

Ahhhhh gadgets.  What would life be without them?  Love or hate them we all have our favorites, little things that make life easier or a little more fun.  Anyone that knows me at all knows I’m a total gadget girl.  Always looking for the next nifty toy.  I was reminded of just how much I love them when I was doing some inventory cleaning yesterday.  From the stupid, silly, and totally useless to the things that have made my SL experience a better one I realized I had a ton of them.

Here’s just a little sample:

Three weather making systems, six different radar huds, five televisions for playing youtube videos, two empods, two intan dance balls(don’t even run a club), pogo sticks, animals, 7Seas Fishing stuff for my fishing area, and of course, all the little gadgets it takes to run my store.

I could go on and on but that would just be boring so I’ll stop there.  Just go to my store and take a look around and you’ll get a little idea of how addicted I am.

But what if I was forced to choose just a few of these things?  What would be the things that I couldn’t live without?  Thought about it for a while and here’s what I came up with.

1.  Huddles EZ Animator Deluxe

This is the one thing that I’d never give up. Ever!  This handy hud does just about everything.  It holds all my dances, AO, keeps track of landmarks, can give objects, has a flight helper, holds slurs..just to name a few things that it handles.  After I found this hud I was able to get rid of about  three others.  Cleaned up my screen and made my life a lot easier.

2.  Intan Couples Dance Ball

Almost everyone has seen one of these at the clubs around SL.  Click on it and you get the couples dance of your choice.  No more poseballs laying around taking up prim and making things look messy. Comes with extenders so if you own a whole sim you can place one of the extenders anywhere and keep on dancing!  Dancing with my partner is one of things I love to do and I have yet to see any dance ball anywhere in SL that has as many dances as ours does. hehe  Also comes as a singles dance version.

3.  Mystitool

4. Advanced Object Scanner Hud

Far and away the best object scanner I’ve found.  The creator isn’t kidding when he says “Find ANYTHING, ANYWHERE” One day I was trying to add an earring to my neko ears and the dang thing shot off across the sim.  Good luck on ever finding it again unless it gets returned right?  Nope, not only does the scanner find what your looking for but it can rez a beacon to sit on that will take you right to it.  Pretty nifty!  I found the earring on the other side of the sim in under 3 minutes.

5.  LV Movie DVD Player

Next to dancing there’s nothing I enjoy more than cuddling up and watching a good movie.  This dvd player will hold up to 40 movies from Lightening Video Mall.  They have hundreds of movies to choose from and they aren’t pirate versions that end up looking crappy.  Most of the movies are unlimited views, buy it and watch it for as long as you’d like, or 7 day rentals.  Next time you need a quiet, relaxing night with friends or just your better half I highly recommend you run down and get a movie from these folks.
